My God .:I'm a Killer:. by ~bowie-lover:iconbowie-lover:

I’m a killer in a uniform
I’m a killer don’t you see?
I kill those in uniform
Exactly like me.

I’m killing for my right
As I kill for democracy
I kill for my God
‘Cause I know he believes in me.

And I’m murdering the children
Who may grow into monsters
Due to my influence
And slaughtering their mothers.

My God is my President
And my President, my father
And my father say to slaughter every other
Man of creed
Man of colour
Man of wealth
Man of other

I’m killing for my right
As I kill for democracy
I kill for my God
‘Cause I know he believes in me.

My God---------
My God---------
My God--------- believes in me.

Political, eh? I'm not sure what political stance you are trying to convey? Is it satire? or sarcastic? Because the following : "I’m killing for my right
As I kill for democracy
I kill for my God
‘Cause I know he believes in me."...seems pretty ignorant.

its all anti war, anti Bush. I guess it is satire as its as if I were a soldier who doesnt believe in the fight. I kill for my right... was actually inspired by when the military called me to recruit me. That was one of their selling points. "What about our rights?" Thinking that murdering innocent people in Iraq is going to preserve the little rights we have. Killing for democracy. Its just another crusade! this time democracy is our religion. They dont want democracy but we're going to shove it down their throats! And I think killing for my God is pretty self explanatory when I say that Bush is both my father and my God.

Ah, i see. That is what i thought! I completely agree with your message. I get confused when it comes to interpretations 8].

it's okay. its impossible to interpret badly, thats why its an interpretation. I was writing this (actually singing it outloud) right at this place where I had seen a murderer in uniform (quite a decorated soldier) and insisted on calling him a murderer. I do not know if he heard me, but I wish he did.

I think you should qualify your statement "They don't want democracy but we're going to shove it down their throats..." I think it is something closer to the fact:

They don't want OUR democracy.

It's not about democracy, it's about sovereignty. About whether the US and the UK (I'm a brit) have the right to choose who's in charge of a country outside of their boundaries. Democracy seems to be dying in the US and here too, anyway. Any administration that allows the presence of the Guantanamo facility to continue has forsaken the democratic path.

Great peom by the way. Loved it. Love your name too.

I don't think you should attack the soldiers. They do a job that they didn't expect to do. Most people who join the army are people without options. They agree to serve their country, at the possible cost of their life. In return, we should guarantee that our governments do not send them into combat without need.

I think we both agree that the Iraqi conflict is a needless one. It serves the financial interests of a few, wealthy, powerful families at the top of American society. Therefore your enemy should not be the men in uniform - who may well regret becoming murderers without reason - but the men in the suits in the Oval Office and the companies that are earning, every day, from this war.

Once again, love the poem.
Love and peace.

Yeah. I'm not very political, so It's hard for me to explain what I'm trying to say. Thank you very much for the critique though! I hardly ever get any! I was actually called by the military right before writing this, and they asked if I wanted to join, so I told them they were all a bunch of murderers. They're only comeback is, "What about our rights?" exactly. They're our rights, we don't have to impose them on anyone else. The innocent people that we're slaughtering and torturing aren't the ones that are going to come over here and try to take those rights away.

Well, you're getting loads of comments from me now. I am LOVING your artistic style.
And by the looks of this, you should write more often. Tis GOOD.

which is exactly why I wrote "my God is my president" He speaks and we obey like whipped dogs. And hitmen are just doing their jobs as well, being hired by the rich to kill someone. It's still murder though. What I find amazing is that the Bush and Bin Laden families were really close, good friends. I know it was wrong for me to tell the military that they were murderers, but if they're going to call me in my home, or recruit my friends at my school, they shouldn't be surprised. I know two people that support this war, maybe three. The people here are completely wacked, you can be American no matter what your race, colour, or wealth (which I wam very proud of, don't get me right) But I've been called un-American just because I don't like dogs. People like that shouldnt be able to have a voice in worldly affairs. (These are children (Or the "future" as we lovingly call them) not political leaders)
