Doc turns towards him, a scalpel in one hand and a tube in the other.
DOC
Look, no one's done this before, so I don't know if it will work.

He bends forward, operating on Micah's vocal chords.

Doc places a plastic tube into Micah's throat.

He cuts one of the chords, it holding the tube into the flesh.

Micah looks over at Doc, mouth open.

Doc smiles and leans forward to work, the glass back to his eye.
